HelloFresh, a publicly traded German meal kit company based in Berlin, Germany, was launched in November 2011. It is the largest meal kit provider in the U.S., offering about three meals per week for two people, providing a choice of about 19 recipes by preparing the ingredients needed for a meal and delivering it to the customer, who must then cook the meal using a recipe card.
